Super 8 Motel - Kingston

This is a clean and safe but no-frills place. Breakfast is adequate if you get to it early enough. There is no internet connectivity.

The hotel was dirty, the room was dirty, our clothes smelled light stale cigarette smoke and mold after one night, the staff,though friendly, could not get change the room to a non smoking even after I had called and gotten a confirmed room change the night before check-in. There were boats parked in the prime customer spots by the doors.That made me mad as that should have been for the lodgers! The ice machine was out of order. The bed was hard and uncomfortable.The room was clean and servicable but I had to ask for soap and additional key. Staff are friendly and willing to get products needed. ...read more

Water temperature and pressure erratic in the shower, staff was not friendly (usually out on bench smoking). In-room coffee machines were badly designed and the coffee comes out like water so what's the point? ...read more

I was disappointed in the condition of the hotel. The staff was extremely nice but the room and bathroom were in terrible shape. The bathroom was so mildewed that it has a very bad odor. They smell took over the room as well. ...read more

Overall good accommodations based on hotel type / price range - nice and very helpful front desk staff. I have become accustomed to having items such as iron / iron board in rooms - not standard in this hotel. Wireless Internet Network (free) was very dependable. ...read more

Placed in smoking room after being told I would receive non-smoking room. Neighbors had fight and had to call police.
